Class: Contemporary Dance with Melissa Sanderson
Melissa Sanderson, choreographer, performer, improvisor & educator
This contemporary dance masterclass will begin with a continuous flow of feel-good movement tasks to find sequentiality, alignment, length, and connection/space between the joints. Combining improvised explorations and set phrase material that increase in effort and complexity, we’ll sweat, spiral, groove, shake, get lost, come back, and find simple pleasure in moving together. Class will peak with a juicy, full-bodied movement phrase. Technical requirements for this masterclass include a sound system with speakers and an iPhone-compatible hook up. Students at the intermediate through advanced technical level are welcome.
